Pilot project – sewing skills
For 15 months, two very motivated young girls from Turia Peng, one aged 18 and one aged 19, take daily sewing classes in a specialist class at Kon Tum. The association pays for their accommodation, meals and transport, as well as all the costs associated with the training, such as the purchase of sewing machines, fabrics and haberdashery.
The aim of this project is to give two young girls the unique chance to train in a profession which will give them prospects for their future. But it also means they will be able to share their skills with other women in their village via a sewing workshop, a medium- to long-term project by the association!
